Antigen presenting cells

For a cell to function as antigen presenting cell, it should have the ability to internalize the antigen/protein process and display the antigens on its surface.

  1. Monocytes-macrophages
  2. Kupffer cells in liver
  3. Microglia in NS
  4. Alveolar macrophages in lung
  5. Splenic macrophages
  6. Dendritic cells in lymphoid tissue
  7. Langerhans cells in skin
  8. Activated B lymphocytes

T cells do not have antigen presenting ability
