Hemophilia A
- Inherited as X linked recessiv(more common in boys).
- Factor VIIIc decreased.
- Clotting disorder.
- Ristocetin Cofactor level is normal.
- Hemarthoris ++.
- Bleeding time is normal.
- APTT is prolonged.
- PT is normal.
- Platelet aggregation in response to Ristocetin is normal.
Von Willebrand Factor deficiency.
- Commonly Autosomal Dominant disorder(both girls and boys affected)
- Factor VIIIc decreased.
- VWF decreased.
- Ristocetin cofactor decreased.
- Features of bleeding disorder with or without clotting disorder.
- Bleeding time is prolonged.
- APTT prolonged/normal.
- PT normal.
- Platelet aggregation in response to Ristocetin is decreased.
